About

Hi, I’m Randy.

Exploring ideas. Finding my own direction. Making room for a better life.

I’m Randy See Meng Teck. I explore how ideas connect, share what I learn, and build things that help people.

My work moves between research and making things. I’m developing Adaptive Possibility Dynamics and building bwebo. I want the ideas and the practical work to keep improving each other.

My journey

  1. Learning what holds my attention

Math was the part of school that most held my attention. I enjoyed getting absorbed in a problem, but my engagement with school was uneven. The pace often felt slow to me, and I found it harder to stay interested in other subjects.

I went into polytechnic hoping to earn top grades and a scholarship. When those plans did not work out as I hoped, my motivation fell. It was a difficult gap between the path I had imagined and how I actually felt about it.

  2. Finding my own direction

I was already working on Meng Tech alongside my studies. After two trimesters at university, I left to pursue entrepreneurship full-time. I worried about whether I would work consistently with that freedom.

Instead, I found myself absorbed in programming for months. Work I cared about could hold my attention in a way I had not expected. That experience gave me more trust in my own judgment about the direction I wanted to take.

That is my experience, rather than a route I think everyone should follow. People have different strengths, circumstances and things they enjoy. There is room for different paths.

  3. From Meng Tech to bwebo

Meng Tech was my tech-focused sole proprietorship. I chose to close it and begin building bwebo with a broader direction: useful ideas, products, ventures and ways of working, with technology as one part of the picture.

The former business and the new company are separate entities. What carries forward is my interest in understanding what could help, making a considered attempt, and learning from what happens.

What matters to me

I believe a person’s worth does not depend on what they earn, achieve or produce. People have different strengths and weaknesses, and different ways of living. They do not have to excel to deserve respect.

I care about a future where everyone can live well and pursue what matters to them, with care for others. That is the direction I want the work to serve, while remaining open to better ways of getting there.

Questions I keep returning to

How do our circumstances shape the possibilities we can see? What changes when we look from another perspective? And what might our current explanation leave out?

Adaptive Possibility Dynamics is part of how I explore these questions. APD explores how possibilities change with people and their circumstances, and how our understanding can change too. It is a developing conceptual framework; the ideas and the practical work remain open to revision.

The work, taking shape

This site brings together selected research, experiments, demos and things I learn along the way. bwebo is the broader home for the company and its work. I share the parts that are ready for others to explore, with room for questions and a better understanding.
