Privacy
The public work, with a private boundary.
You can read the public work without an account. There are no advertising cookies, replay tools or third-party analytics in this version. Hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request logs.
The question interface uses explicitly published material. Without an AI provider, it returns matching pages. With AI configured, your question and selected public excerpts are sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the configured inference provider (currently DeepInfra, running NVIDIA Nemotron for routine answers or DeepSeek for deeper answers). This application does not store chat history. Do not share confidential information in questions.
Contact submissions are stored in bwebo’s owner workspace to respond to your note. Community accounts and payments are not active. Use the contact form for privacy requests. This personal site is led by Randy See Meng Teck. Messages are kept to respond to your enquiry; you can ask for deletion through the contact page.
When you ask, the current page path, excluding URL query strings and fragments, helps interpret generic questions. The AI receives only verified published page context, including its path and title; explicitly named topics take priority. This application does not save a browsing history.
Vercel BotID Basic checks browser and request signals to help prevent automated abuse. When you ask a question, an essential signed browser cookie lasting up to 24 hours helps apply a browser-specific request limit. It is separate on each site and does not identify a verified person. The servers also use IP-derived opaque network identifiers and shared counters to limit abuse across both sites; IPv6 addresses are grouped by network prefix. Browser and network limit windows last ten minutes; expired entries are pruned on later admitted requests. These safeguards do not make requests anonymous.
Your appearance preference is saved in local storage on this device when you choose Light, Dark or Default. Default follows your device’s appearance. This preference is separate from chat history and advertising tracking.
RandySee accounts: You may sign in with Google to create a general RandySee account without an experiment invitation. Google and the existing managed Neon service handle authentication and essential session/challenge cookies; the shared Google consent screen may identify Neon. The site stores your verified email, optional display name, profile version and activity timestamps in the existing restricted Neon database through the company backend. Your account gives access to your own dashboard and data, with separate permissions and consent for individual activities. It grants no company staff access. Research background questions are separate from basic account details. The public assistant cannot access account or research records and is hidden inside the private dashboard. Account data are removed after 365 days of inactivity when an authenticated access or operator maintenance check runs; no continuous deletion scheduler is configured. You can download or delete RandySee account data in your profile. Exported files, AI-provider copies, managed authentication records and backups require separate handling; contact Randy through the contact page for help.
Invited research participation: Experiments live inside your RandySee dashboard. After you sign in, Randy can enable or revoke individual studies for your account, with an access-change audit record. An invitation and passcode are an alternative way to receive study access. Each study requires your own consent before participation. A reusable optional-background research profile, study consent, questionnaire answers, progress and evaluations are stored in the existing restricted Neon database. Optional demographics support exploratory analysis and are excluded from AI prompts unless a study explicitly names them. Selected answers may be manually copied to the AI services named in that study; the operator reports training disabled, which is not a claim of zero provider storage. Each study discloses its retention period; purge occurs on research access or operator maintenance, without a continuous deletion scheduler. Research profiles and their access records are removed when an access/maintenance check finds 365 days of research inactivity. You can download or delete research data independently of your general account, or withdraw from an individual study. Manual exports, provider copies and backups require separate handling. Use the contact page for questions or external-copy deletion. Participation is optional and the first pilot is for adults.
