APD explores how possibilities change with people and their circumstances, and how our understanding can change too.

This conceptual and methodological article examines how an observer's context, available actions and models shape what appears possible, and how those models can be revised.

It is a developing framework, not an empirically validated theory or a finished explanation of everything. Open-ended epistemics (OEE) is the proposed field, recursive world modeling (RWM) the method and APD the developing framework in Randy's current terminology. New evidence or a better explanation can change the interpretation.
