Made with room to change.

A personal identity for research, useful software, and work in progress.

The visual identity begins with a complete, single-color R: a clear personal initial. A substantial letterform keeps it readable in the header and at small icon sizes.

Deep ink, warm chalk and burnt orange connect the reading experience with the practical work. Dark appearance uses the same ink family with a lighter orange for links. Newsreader supplies the editorial serif; DM Sans supplies the supporting text. Both are served locally.

The cut-paper illustrations were developed with AI image generation and reviewed as a set. They are decorative studies of arranging ideas and making things, not scientific diagrams or pictures of finished products. The logo and small interface shapes use vector artwork for clear edges at small sizes.

An earlier version of the site drew on Maggie Appleton’s editorial garden. This identity takes its own direction around my name and the relationship between understanding and building. Reference artwork and identities remain their owners’ work.

Choose Light, Dark or Default in the appearance control. Default follows your device; an explicit choice is saved on this device. The work and its presentation can change as I learn.
