Questions into things. Things into questions.

How inquiry and making can keep improving each other.

Research helps me notice assumptions and consider alternatives. Making something gives those ideas a user, a task, a constraint and an outcome that can disagree with the original plan.

Start by examining what we know, what may be missing and what already exists. Compare approaches, including simpler ones, and choose a bounded next step. Newness alone is no reason to rebuild something.

Walk the real flow, review the code separately and examine failures, recovery and edge cases. Fix what the evidence reveals and repeat the affected checks. Describe the covered conditions and remaining limits; finite checks do not establish that every possible use will be free of defects.

The same discipline applies to explanations and working assumptions. New evidence can change the question, the method, the technology or the decision to continue. Enough support to act is a useful stopping point for inquiry, followed by a chance to learn from the result.

Company products and customer-relevant releases belong on bwebo. Personal research, demonstrations and lessons have a home here. A persuasive account or an APD interpretation is not a substitute for checking what actually happened.
